Back in the 1990s I wrote a little book of patterns for young lacemakers, and over the years these patterns have appeared in the Lace Guild’s Young Lacemaker magazine. I thought it might be useful to update this for my website and make it generally available.

The instructions are written assuming basic knowledge of bobbin lace techniques — how to make a pricking, wind bobbins, work cloth stitch and so on, but instructions for these are available in Bobbin Lace — Getting Started, which I wrote for beginners at my weekly lace classes.
